Well there it is and here we are. All updated and together. I've still got some kinks to work out on the business cazj front but I'm still going in the right direction, by which I mean away from sweatpants and bluejeans.
I am really digging my new temp job, which I won't refer to as a real job until I go full time. It's a great group to work with in a company with some really neat perks and accomodations. ALSO, just so you know, it's a dreadfully mind-numbing meditation in scanning, clicking and filing... so it's nothing I can stand doing for much more than a few months at a time. A paycheck is a paycheck though, so as long as the mortgage is paid everything's roses.
Additionally, there MIGHT be another very exciting work-related event on the horizon from a temp agency in direct competition with the one that placed me here. It's an opportunity that pays better, is farther south, and will require of me all the things I've been reaching for since I left my "real" job so long ago. (that's like, what, a month and a half now? ugh. dramaqueen)
Yeah, so this new thing would be a technical writing and training position. I told the dude that I'm interested AND that as long as he's okay with my honoring a minimum two week notice for this position I'll do whatever it takes to land this next job. That is, as long as it's not a job that entails working for Hitler or something. Interviews will surely clear that up in time so all that's left is to work today, hope for better things tomorrow and keep my eyes peeled for well tailored tops on the discount racks.
Wish me luck! Happy Spring!
